Icon only and more display option for relation display in set columns

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND

It would be great if we could have an option to display only the object icon for relations in the columns of set view. This enable seeing more objects within narrow columns.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE

Add display/appearance options to the column option to show titles or icons or not, like in graph view (Arrows not applicable to set). Design consistent with current column option pane is appreciated.

POTENTIAL PROBLEM AND SOLUTION

Some objects might not have specified icons. There are a few ways to resolve this.
Easiest:

  1. Use regular dot to display those objects (Like in graph view)
  2. Use one letter as icon (Like with default profile layout)
More robust: Have these features to remove the possibilities of no icon objects - Give all objects a type icon with template and inherit object icons.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

Any bulky relations with several objects can be seen in set view, enabling overview and pattern observation. Sometimes we don’t need to see the words/text to understand the objects.

Daily use: Users will be able to input several objects of emotions/habits with their specific icons/emojis within their respective relation as a group for the day/event and still see more objects clearly.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

One alternative is To see more contents in set column with mouse hover but this serves a different function to see more texts with object titles, and this feature requests to see more objects without the texts.

Use task based habit tracking or streak view but this only enables one object for one relation.

But still suggest the current display request for multiple objects for one relations.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

  1. Text only display option could be useful too for concentration reading.
  2. Change order of relations will empower this feature request for observing pattern and keep it easy to understand icon only objects.
  3. It might be interesting to explore the possibilities of 2+ icons for one object. E.g. :love_letter::smiling_face_with_three_hearts: for receiving love letter and feeling loved, :star_struck::shopping_bags: for things catching attention and thus buying and shopping
