Add graph view to mobile

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Nope.

Describe the solution you’d like
I suggest that graph view should be added to mobile, not only because I really like the way it looks but because I use it a lot to check if I’ve linked certain objects or if I might’ve linked objects wrongly.

Describe alternatives you’ve considered
I can see some problems with this though like accidentally moving an object while trying to navigate the view. I’m not sure of an alternative but something that enables users to see all their documents at a glance will be nice.

Additional context
None.

+1. Would really love the graph view on Android

Got it  We have plans to introduce at lease some part of the graph on mobile devices alongside with next version of graph on desktop. Eta end of the year.

I would be happy even with a simplified version.

What will be your use cases for graph on mobile?

In combination with Show tag relationships between items in graph view, my use case would be searching for related ideas.

This is a great idea, I would also love to have this feature. I’m quite new to anytype and have checked out other apps, where such graph view is available and it’s quite a nice user experience.

Yes please, it was also requested on reddit by a user>

Graph view is a powerful way to visualize and navigate the relations and links between objects so I would like to request the addition of a graph view feature on the Android mobile and tablet application of Anytype.

I feel lost on the iOS version without my visual navigation, having to fall back to search fields and the recently edited list.

That is very disappointing that you said the feature will be at the end of 2022, we have 2024 and there seems to be no progress related to graph on mobile.

+1 Would love to see this implemented at some point in the future

such a nice idea!

local graph would be needed first

I was about to post this. I get activity every now and then on this post and it’s sad to see that it’s not even being seriously considered or worked on.

Define a specific feature that is missing or could be improved:

feature = “Graph View on Android Mobile and Tablet Applications”

Detail the solution you would like to get what you need:

solution = “I would like to request the addition of a graph view feature on the Android mobile and tablet applications of Anytype Notes. Graph view is a powerful way to visualize and navigate the relations and links between objects in Anytype. It is currently available on the desktop app but not on the mobile app.”

Describe specifically how this feature would be used, and why it should be implemented:

use_cases = [

“I believe that not everyone has access to a personal computer, and carrying one around is not always feasible. That’s why it’s important to have the graph view on the mobile applications that can be used on the go.”,

“Viewing ideas and the relation between ideas and objects in real-time. This would help me to see the big picture of my notes and how they are connected to each other. It would also allow me to discover new insights and patterns from my data.”,

“Quick browsing of ideas and objects and relative objects. This would enable me to easily access and explore any object in my graph without having to search or scroll through the library. It would also help me to find relevant objects that are related to the current one.”,

“Viewing the gist and making a mind map. This would allow me to create and edit mind maps on the go, using the graph view as a canvas. I could also use the graph view to get a summary or overview of any topic or project that I am working on.”,

“Quick recap. This would help me to review and recall the information that I have stored in Anytype. I could use the graph view to get a summary of all the objects and their relations.”

Please explain any workaround or feature you may have considered:

workaround = “Currently, I’m using Obsidian Mobile application for this particular feature. Obsidian Android :linked_paperclips: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=md.obsidian

Here is the example from obsidian:

related_requests = “Add graph view to mobile

Feedback: I also have a suggestion for improving the graph view feature. I think it would be great if Anytype could automatically link objects that have the same name, and give me an option to manually de-link them if necessary. This would save me time and effort in creating and managing links, and also make the graph view more consistent and accurate.

This is very much needed. Made this request in a thread sometimes ago but “not in plan” was the response. That should have changed now, especially with the Mobile app getting stronger than ever.

  1. Graph view
  2. Passcode
  3. More Library settings
  4. Import and export of space.
    Mobile still a little behind.
Obsidian really did a good job keeping the app par on all devices. I hope Anytype follows that path.

Any news on this feature?
2024 is almost ended…

Yes, Also eagerly waiting for this. Anytype on mobile really isn’t the same anytype without this way to view your data. If you can only navigate through “folders”, you cannot interconnect things the same way, it really narrows your view.
