Hi! I`m yellow, I really like the anytype approach to deal with relations. I come from Evernote to org-mode to Joplin and hopefully I will end up here. ![]()
Hey there! I’m a French graphic designer, looking forward to try Anytype on my own and with teams. It sure looks fantastic.
Hello!
Been trying Anytype for a week now, currently using it to keep track of computer service cases as well as lectures I am giving.
Working partially as head of IT in a school in Sweden, as well as being a science teacher. It is like having two great jobs at once nearly full time in each. ![]()
I have been using Craft to keep track of basically everything for about two years now but it’s just lacking in the information structuring part, and this is where Anytype shines. I think I will keep Craft for a while as it is really great for creating and sharing beautiful content.
Thank you for creating this great community where I have found a lot of great inspiration. I will try to give some back soon. ![]()
Hi Harold, I am retired and enjoying having time to play way too much with things that interest me. Just trying to figure out if there is a way to make pages appear as a page versus a pop-up window. Since I messed up and imported stuff from Notion multiple times, is there an all-files view, so I can go in and delete the trash or duplicate files that I don’t need and don’t appear in the Recents file? @Anytype. Thanks, Harold
Hi Harold!
At the moment it seems like files can’t be deleted, thus images and other attachments is gonna stay in there for now.
Regarding an all-things-view, you will have to create a set for each Type. The set will list every node with that type set to it. It is also possible to create a set of the type Type which will list every type there is. ![]()
Edit: Adding this lik to the docs: https://doc.anytype.io/d/self-onboarding/set
Hi @hbh207, good to have you here in the Anytype forum! There is no official view to see all of you Objects apart from the Graph view (which might be pretty cluttered after a Notion import). You could create something close to an All Objects view by creating a Set based on a Relation all Objects have (like Date Created). If you open your Library and then to the Relations tab, then to date created, and then click Create Set. I’m on my phone right now, so I cannot share print screens of these steps.
I have used the graph view to slim down a couple of areas and have emptied the bin a few times, which seems to clean up the graph, so I am thinking that the delete works that much. Right now if I had it to do over, I probably wouldn’t have attempted to import my Notion dashboard page, AnyType did a good job of the import, but it made a mess, which I will probably ignore until I learn more about how AnyType does things. I think I am starting to grasp the idea of how it works. Sort of like a Roam with folders and Notion’s database on top, which once I get a good handle on it, will be very cool. Is there a way to have an object (page) open inline view versus a popup window?
Hello. I am Dan from Ukraine. Here I am looking for an alternative to Notion that can work and sync without Internet connection (because Internet does not work without electricity).
I am Frankie and work in the transactional gateway payment industry as a DevOps engineer. I am also a co-founder of a local community related to the system.
I will be happy to collaborate on related topics ![]()

Hi, I’m Will.
I’m a retired-with-a-disability IT pro in Tasmania Australia. I’ve been a user of MS OneNote for years now, but my PC’s are old and I gotta say Windows 11 is not looking attractive as an upgrade. So, I’m checking out alternatives. Anytype got my attention with it’s emphasis on secure and de-centralised sync, and; working off-line. AND: App on Windows/Linux/Mac/Android and IOS!
Anyone know how to bulk-export from OneNote?
Things of particular concern to me:
Non-technical citizens and consumers being left behind by government and business adoption of on-line ‘business’ model. In conjunction with this; closure of physical offices/stores, especially anywhere outside capital cities.
Consumer love-affair with tech like ‘smart-home’ IoT devices which rely on a server under someone else’s control. {Black Mirror episode right there!}
Does OneNote have a markdown export? You could use that to import your notes into Anytype.
Hi im nova (its my nickname) im french and i want to use Anytype for my life and study

Hi
I am new user to Anytype and to this community. I live in Gothenburg in Sweden.
Hi! I’m a Web & Product designer by day - professional procrastinator by night, based in Rome, Italy. Happy to make connections with the community here so just hit me up!
I have been looking for a flexible, private, local, and multi-platform way to take notes, keep track of things, manage knowledge and interests, in an effort to design, manage and live a better life. Came across Notion & Obsidian but Anytype just seemed to be the perfect balance.
Hoping to be able to contribute where I can, as a thanks for this open source gem.
Hello from Sofia, Bulgaria! I’m a digital marketing specialist, and I’m happy with Anytype. The beginning was hard, but now I use it every day. I use Anytype for my mobile notes and checklists, and for my Second brain space and P.A.R.A method on my desktops. This symbiosis between software and framework is extremely productive for me.
Anytype has enormous potential.
The community is extremely helpful!
Hi Everyone
I have been a user of Tiago Forte Second Brain Method since 2020.
I just discovered AnyType while looking for an alternative to Evernote after the drastic changes they made to their plans. I was also looking for a Third app to put on the top of my stack.
Ultimately now, what I like about Anytype the most are the values behind I. And the little initial learning curve is no longer a problem since I see great potential in this NewAPP.
It’s been a few days Since I set it up and I can now use PARA and my other methods well enough.
See You
Hi Im Ed. Was here over a year or so ago but was not successful making Anytype work for me. Back to try again to see how things have changed. I appreciate the help anyone provides and as my knowledge grows I will pay it forward.
