WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
We should have a lobby to access different vaults at once.
Like this it could be possible to have a vault for the anytype network a different one for local only or selfhosted and it would be easier to switch between them if they are all registered to the lobby.
The lobby could be locked with a separate pin. And also the pins for the different vaults could be kept as an option.
HOW COULD IT BE DONE?
ᅟA Lobby-area should be constructed as a starting point once you open anytype from that you can choose which vault to open. Maybe the cencryption keys could be saved to the lobbyfor convenience.
Maybe it could be possible to have several vaults open in parallel to make it easier to switch faster between them.
For security, different vaults could still be locked with different pins.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
In one vault, I keep all the channels that are headed for collaboration or publishing, synced to the Anytype Network.
Another one is just a sync-vault to sync files from mobile with my desktop and it’s a local only, but I want to use all the space on my hart disk.
It would put another hierarchy layer, a meta level to make it easier to switch between different vaults you work in anytime.
RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES
ᅟRight now there’s just one: Exit your vault. Enter the key of another one and open that other vault.
