Yes, capturing directly into Anytype.
I’ve many FR wanted but for this one, I just don’t understand why the team dont want to add it to officiale android release! It seems to be already done and functional, so why not release it? I never received a response (via chat or the forum), so I’m trying via the town hall…
There are things that I am curious about.. but at the same time, I understand team is working hard and it is impossible to satisfy everything at the same time. Here are some things on my mind:
- To start, how is every one in Anytype team doing? (Since it has been a long while we last heard from you all since last town hall) Hope all is well
- Since team did some changes to how roadmaps work, how are priorities (e.g. general vs the currently empty 2025S2) determined, other than capabilities?
- FR like calender, full function of date object support the start of a new year a lot
- QoL improvements always appreciated together with FR, but new feature without QoL or partial implementation just misses the satisfaction. e.g. just like the manual sorting for property..
- Any updates on “karma” system?
- As advocate of relation seeing property taking over relation, are there any hope that enrichment of functions for relation will be considered?

- How will the implementation of excalidraw embed in v.0.51 influence the implementation of handwriting in Anytype?
- How will Anytype response to chat control regulations in EU? or use the chance to facilitate Anytype’s prospects?
btw team should probably update the description of builder membership on stripe. It still says 3 shared spaces.
Hope town hall will recharge my passion for Anytype.
oh yes the karma system. I was wondering too how is the progress of that. along with my question in one of my other topic of whether anytype still plans to be a social community platform like reddit/discord and how will they go about facilitating that with the current pricing structure?
right now if I want to built a public community on anytype I’ll be penalize monetarily the more I grow the community and when members take up anysync space. are they still planning to go this route for the platform and if so how will community creators be supported to reach that outcome?
perhaps anytype can share how much network anysync storage is their Anytype Community chat taking up just a couple months in, how much storage do they expect that to grow to end of next year. if a user creates a commmunity like that voluntarily and bring others into anytype, will the user be required to fork out their own money to support all of that for anytype’s gain?
just something to ask about or talk about for the town hall event.
its been very hard to move things around from space to space, are any plans to make this way more easy?
also when installing spaces from the any experience gallery, and you install them into your current space, its very hard to also remove it or uninstall them. is there any way to make it easier?
also, what if i only want to share specific parts of your space and not the whole thing?
Will there be any plans of just selling an .any name without the storage for people on Anysync? I saw it’s mentioned that there will soon be a decentralized identity for a few dollars a year, not sure if this is the same as .any name and whether people on Anysync can purchase this as well or if it’s only for self-host. Is there a timeline? Thank you
To redeem the code, you’ll need to use the desktop app. It isn’t possible to do this on mobile yet.
More topics to add in your townhall:
- Information on supporting Formulae in Tables - a long pending backlog item in your roadmap
- Is Formulae for properties (i.e., auto-calculation of a property value based on other properties) even a thing in your roadmap?
- Have you thought about Duo / Couple and Family plans?
Hi @Geladariia ![]()
Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the town hall meeting this time, so I have listed my questions here:
1. Foundation Layer & Architecture of Anytype Desktop 0.50.0
- Can you describe the key goals of the new foundation layer and what measurable improvements (e.g., sync speed, stability, memory usage) are associated with it?
- How will the new architecture affect the development of new features in the future?
2. Roadmap, Prioritization & Decision-Making
- What criteria does the team currently use for prioritizing features (e.g., user feedback volume, technical dependencies, strategic value)?
- Can you present an updated roadmap with clear priorities for the next Year and indicate which items are currently at risk of delay?
3. Communication & Transparency
- Can we get a clear explanation for the recent reduction in blog posts, sprint updates, and team communications?
- If so, what measures will the team take to ensure more consistent communication with the community (commit to a specific communication frequency), and in what form will this take place?
4. Performance, Stability & Testing
- What measurable stability or performance metrics are you currently tracking, and how are they trending over the last quarter?
- Are there specific performance targets (e.g., max sync time, launch speed) the team aims to achieve before leaving beta?
- What proportion of development time is currently allocated to bug fixing vs. feature development?
5. Vision & Long-Term Outlook
- Can you outline the long-term vision for the app in the next 2–3 years and identify three measurable objectives that guide development?
- How do you envision the platform evolving once the foundation layer is complete—what new possibilities become unlocked?
I don’t think I can attend the Town Hall.
My question:
- I would like to know if next year will bring a daily journaling feature/solution/method/improvements, and if so, how can we structure the data we are entering now, so that it might be easy to migrate to the new solution/method/improvements later on.
- What kind of improvements to property managements will appear? It was talked about a solution like Rust/Traits, if you could expand on that, if coming next year, and again, how could he structure our space/types/properties/objects to easily adapt to those developments.
Explanation:
Point 1, is that I am kinda worried about having to later migrate all my daily journals to a new scheme/solution/method/improvements later on.
Thanks!
Hello,
Just read this today. I missed the town hall, was in a meeting at the same time…
Did you guys record and/or have transcripts?
We’ll share the recording in the upcoming days.
Hey hey!
The town hall recording is live!
And here’s the Q&A recap with the questions we covered (it’s a chunky one
)
Just had a quick glance, and 2 major points:
About EU regulations:
Anton: I just want to say that our technology does not allow this kind of behavior. So probably we would not officially work in these countries where it’s not allowed.
That is very good to hear. I feared that Anytype would have to introduce a backdoor
Yeah, I prefer to use Anytype “illegally” than have Anytype put a backdoor into it. (EDIT: I would not use it, because, in my life, I have never done nor would I ever do anything illegal!!!)
About Lists:
Anton: Not just improvements - really like a paradigm shift.
Great to hear… I am really hopeful of what Anytype does here. Might be the game changer for me as a user.
Cool. Btw I also see Unknown error occurred when I try to claim a domain name on the desktop app. Again, not a big deal since I mostly bought the membership to support the development
Could you please tell us exactly where you’re getting this error and which any name you’re trying to claim? Ideally, you would either submit a separate bug report or contact us at [email protected].
