Thank again team for implementing manual sorting for property. I quickly utilise this function and alter the order of a select. However, the custom sequence is not reflected for the objects. Also, after removing the sorting criteria of the first view and re-adding the sorting criteria, the custom order also doesn’t arrange objects in sorting order.
Or did I miss understand that the manual sorting only applies to the property pane?
How To Reproduce It
Go to a view and customise manual sorting order of a property
See sorting of objects doesn’t reflect the manual sorting sequence
The Expected Behavior
As design, respect manual sorting order for properties across queries, collection and devices.

I have the same issue. I was very excited about this fix and realized after renaming all my property options that it doesn’t affect sorting in collection views and querys.
Not sure if that means that this was known when the change was released. But then maybe don’t add it as a great new feature if the custom order doesn’t do anything.
Sorry for being overly negative but IMO this is blatant misinformation. What other use is there to ordering the property options if it doesn’t have an effect on the sorting order?
You have made it possible to arrange the tags in a personal order by moving them. And it’s very cool! However, it is logical that the objects to which these tags are linked should be arranged in the same order as the tags.
Unfortunately, this is currently the norm. The sorting of options for multiselect properties is still poorly designed and therefore contradictory, as you can see.
On one hand, alphabetical sorting for property options has not been even implemented, now ther is only manual sorting, and on the other hand, this manual sorting is ignored in queries and collections and replaced by alphabetical sorting (ascending/descending).
There should simply be a custom sort order alongside an alphabetical one (both acsc and desc).
