Date tags, times, iOS (not implemented?)

The use case here is a “Daily Note” which I would like to have the title Daily Note Feb 21, 2024 etc.

I have a template with the “Daily Note” as the first line so I can append the date, however:

  • This would be much better if @today in a template would reference the day the object is created
  • Tags could be in titles, which would make more sense in this case

Also date tags don’t seem to work on iOS, which means the best I can do is manually type out the date when creating a daily note on mobile.

Finally, some times I want the time included in a date tag, such as Called XYZ @now.

Wondering if I am correct on this or missing something. Typing @ reveals other objects but I can’t create a date link.

I’m also having trouble keeping a nice setup with Daily Notes for this reason.

Date & Time shortcut is not fully implemented yet.

Date object is on roadmap 2024(Q3).

Date/time system is currently not universal across the app

Combine with some existing bugs, sometimes date/time shortcuts work, sometimes don’t..

Hence we need to do some workarounds to make it cater our needs, like creating sets for inputting objects for specific time. The following is one way you could mimic ‘time’ inputs. You can include time in date relation using a set/collection.

Hope date time system will be online soon. (Eagerly waiting)
