Coming back to this feature request on v.34.1, there is now orange colour for the node, an orange boarder to the icon and orange text for object title, but it is still a bit hard to find the searched object.
Points to note ← alternative solutions other than those listed in post 1
Icons can overlap each other blocking the view ← surfacing searched object or repel force might help
Icons and arrows still distract from the searched node if graph is still at maximum zoom out level (improvements to more zoom in views because colour of title text expand the area of identification)
Coloured node is hard to find if the nearby icon is similar colour ← border to the colour highlight (?)
It is harder to spot nodes without icon, compared to nodes with icon
So, am I seeing this right, the nodes currently don’t resize at all even if more links to it are added? Like one knows from Obsidian, Logseq, Roam Research and other note-taking apps having such a graph.
Sorry I have to highjack this post. My own space just isn’t that massive yet, as I’m basically still just fiddling around. But I already noticed the nodes not really resizing when links are added, which is actually something I’m missing. Just wanted to make sure, it’s the same with many more notes
You are right. It is not in the function of Anytype graph.
If you are considering making it a feature request, you might want to consider how your request works with/instead of the following request. It suggests manual adjustment to size of graph nodes.
Yes, I’ve already discovered that feature request. I’m not sure if a manual setting and a general setting as mentioned will be easily compatible, but the general one is probably much easier to implement and already very helpful.
I’ll probably post a specific request later.
