A widget that would just show favorite objects would be great.
Or to make it more general, a widget that would display objects in specific collection.
Looks like we can add an ‘+’ button for quick creation of new object on lock screen widget on iOS17… but the same widget cannot be used on homescreen 
On top of widgets, I think having the option to “Add object to homescreen” or holding down on the app icon (on android) to reveal recently used pages so that you can add the shortcut to your homescreen would be nice. I make a distinction that shortcuts(not widgets) should also be an option because they can be a lot more flexible in positioning on the homescreen. Plus if these are shortcuts then you could use them with automation apps to open certain objects.
For me the main use case would be a calendar widget. Coupled with notifications and recurring objects, it would allow me to replace the calendar app 
I would like to see a new Note widget to quickly capture the ideas without using another Android tool like “ToDo” or “Todoist”

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Anytype should have better widgets on iOS (maybe Android too, but I don’t have one, so I can’t speak for what should be done there). Having the option to at least put pages or notes on the Home Screen, or a set/collection for quick capturing or adding new objects. Ideally, once calendar view comes to mobile, that could be a widget too, but that’d be in the future. Right now, iOS only has a single button that can be added to the Lock Screen that automatically creates a new object. This is fine, but feels uninspired and not as useful as being able to dynamically interact with notes.
HOW COULD IT BE DONE?
Starting out small, it could just be having a single object on the Home Screen, kind of like an Apple Note. Sets and collections would be awesome, but understandably challenging.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
People would love these for the same reason that they love other widgets. It’s not game-changing, but it’s nice for ease of use and simplicity.

A Favorites widget and a full object as widget would be appreciated. If a mobile dashboard cannot be implemented, having my object as a homescreen widget would help me keep my dashboard in a place where I see it often.

It’s a simple concept like the widgets google keep has on Android.
Context I would like to have an at a glance viget on my home screen with certain things for quick reminders etc.
Widget for mobile device is for me a key feature that i look for in every PKMS.

YES! This! It was the single largest doubt in my mind before deciding to switch over to Anytype, when comparing to other options on the market.
All the fancy functionality inside the PKM tool should not have a higher priority than how users access the tool. Imagine selling the world’s first lightsaber but the grip is just smooth metal without any anti-slip surfaces and it keeps flying out of peoples’ hands…
Also, it’s about “user retention.” Calendar and To-Do list widgets would finally allow to further “de-Google” my PKM. As it is, I’ll probably have to move stuff over to Tasks.org or something similar while waiting for Anytype. And that means I’m also constantly keeping tabs on other tools and apps on the market, and much more likely to move away entirely if I find something better, though really I just wanted to find a “good enough” tool and be done with it…

tasks.org - if you want tasks only on mobile, you’re set. But if you want to sync it across other devices, unless you run your own calDAV server, you will have to integrate with the likes of evil google.
Not an option for me and many others. So, I make tasks work inside anyType despite the shortcomings. It is not perfect but doable. Meanwhile eagerly awaiting improvement on that front…
Indeed. I’ve also been glancing at Amplenote. They seem to have a decent mobile widget, and while two-way sync to other calendars is a paid feature (and nothing I’m interested in anyway), the free plan seems to support sync of notes/tasks between unlimited devices – so it’s just a one-time hastle to import tasks from Google manually and then I’d be set. Theoretically.
Seem to remember something about the option for local data storage; gotta double-check if it’s been implemented and if it’s a free feature… ^^

users with a Personal subscription must use Amplenote on desktop through the browser (as a PWA).
Sigh. So much for that idea…
Hi it’s been nice if Anytype have some widgets for phones like adding a note or seeing calendar to make it easy using Anytype as a daily app.
at this point they can just let us bring the in-app widgets outside the homescreen and I would be satisfied 
Not having this feature is currently holding me back from fully integrating anytype into my daily life. Having to open the app to see tasks/notes is more annoying than it seems.
Having homescreen widgets and notifications for tasks would make it incredibly useful!
Let’s hope it gets added to the roadmap
