Benefits of graph
- Good for observing for observing pattern ā would be enhanced by zoom further
- It resembles how human brains work neurologically - thatās the closest form of note taking you can have for your cognitive process (unless we are talking about other forms of representation)
- Loose nodes are good for forming new connections. Can you imagine seeing a link between D12 and H8?
- In intensive information processing, graph only shows connection that make sense; but if we use table, we will have to layout all irrelevant possibilities, causing almost like infinite matrix which is impossible to write down. - Graph allows formation of different structures, e.g. tree hierarchy for linguistics
- The possibilities of explaining the linkage e.g. weight or connection force and relation name.
Actually, I am not a fan of graph view but relation. Graphs lay out the relations quite well.
My graph looks messy because it contains 2500+ items and every object has at least 3 relations to other object. It is also a concept and content based graph. To me, every input source is a MOC of its own (if I have to state bluntly) - because even one YouTube video contains the specific combination of understanding ideas in a specific sequence of presentation. I seriously need local graph view to see it properly.
It might seem weird at first glance, but table and calendar are also graphs that represent objects in fixed vertical and horizontal distributions which the relation forces are equal between each object.
