There are threads for a couple of things mentioned here:

• embed for images,
  • Embed images from web
• JXL support (and HEIC),
  • JPEG XL support
  • HEIC image support

Just fyi.

Perhaps, once image embedding in the content is possible, they can also be implemented for space/profile image, etc.
