Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Files in .jxl are not rendered as images

Describe the solution you’d like
JPEG XL is the future of image formats, and it has unprecedented quality and compression features, as well as astonishing performance results. I believe it should be implemented in Anytype, even if it is not widely supported… it is cutting-edge tech and implementing it would make Anytype even more awesome.

A lot of progress has been made on JPEG XL development… I really think it is time to support this image type!

i’d like to gently bump this, just noticed the lack of support while trying to upload them :o

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Supporting JPEG XL as file format, analogous to " HEIC image support"

HOW COULD IT BE DONE?

Add the lib? :man_shrugging: Since JPEG is supported, I’d assume the devs know how to add file formats.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

Apple supporting JPEG XL now, others might follow suit, patent-free next-gen file format.

None.
