I would ask someone from Anytype to provide an outlook for what is planned for Anytype in 2025, and what the focus will be. (That could also be a community meeting, naturally ).
The 2025 Roadmap contains three (!) items so far, one of them is “Chat”, which to me (and to none of the people back in the original discussion) does not make “Any” sense . Reading that it feels like Anytype is targetting heavily small communities – which is a first and foremost a decision, yet this is not me, so I’d like to know .
Would that be possible?
Also, there have been noises about licensing changes – positive ones this time. It would be nice to hear about what and when this is planned – or if this is just in the “vague idea” state ATM.
So, in summary: It would be absolutely awesome if someone would take the time to make a “our plan for 2025” post …
yeah, i already called it “useless” in its current form, and I stand by it. it would also not answer a single question i asked, if you read the post. also, ti currently has four (!) technical-related items planned for 2025, and the rest is in backlog. well.
so this is the official (!) statement of where anytype is headed? don’t think so, he’s a user just like us.
I just talked out a thought loud that the link to visions from a community member is not an official statement at all and that we can mostly guess the roadmap from the current one and mostly count 1+1 what we could expect this year depending on the current alpha versions and what could be postponed to next year.
A summary article what they achieved this year and what the community can expect would be a wonderful blog article I think. This also would put things into perspective how far the team has come in a short period of time.
In case you missed it, we are doing a town hall next week! We also have a blog post in the works specifically to talk about all the things we built this year. Excited to share them with you soon
