Unlink -> Shift & strip of inline LaTeX/text formats

What’s The Bug?

When unlinking any text in a block that contains inline LaTeX and text styles, the LaTeX loses its formatting (the $ signs disappear) and the text style shifts to the right.

How To Reproduce It

  1. Paste the following text into the editor:
    $latex$ link color plain
    $latex$ $latex$ link color plain
    $latex$ $latex$ $latex$ link color plain

  2. Apply any background color to the word color.
  3. Link each link word to any page.
  4. Hover over the link word and choose “Unlink”.
  5. All $ signs stripped, so the LaTeX formatting is removed.
  6. The background color applied to color shifts to the next character( plain). The amount of shift is proportional to the number of removed $ signs.

The Expected Behavior

  • Inline LaTeX style must be preserved.
  • Inline text styles must be preserved.
  • The editor’s basic stability must be prioritized, ahead of auxiliary features such as chatting.
