Tasks inside a template refer to same task for each object

Hi Everyone,

I have a use case where I want to create few tasks which needs to be done everyday. So I am using the “Daily Plan” template provided by Anytype. I have modified it and included few tasks. Now let’s say I created an object with that template for today and tomorrow. When I view the graph all the tasks in template are linked to both today and tomorrow and marking any one of them as complete will mark them as complete for both. What I want is separate instance of those tasks. Does anyone know whether this is possible or not using templates?

You would need the template to create new tasks for you, but that is not possible currently. You’re indeed just linking to the same tasks again and again as of now

@Filip is there any ETA, task, post where we can monitor the progress on it?

IMO it makes a templates bit useless…

Here you go: Self-pointing placeholder filter in templates

Hey there, is it a feature that will be implemented in the future ?

I have the same struggle than @kishan

I have works I repeat and I would love to be able to create project that already contains all the tasks I need.
When I create a new project based on the template all the tasks in it are the one linked to the previous object, not new one.

I thought about using checkboxes instead, but they can’t show up in a set…

If someone has an other idea, let me know !

Thx
