Show icons in sidebar widgets

WHAT IS THE BUG

I was seeing the guides at Anytype docs and when seeing my app I observed that the sets I added as widgets to the sidebar doesn’t show the icon of the set , but it shows in the guide.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Add any of your set or object as a widget
  2. Check whether Icon is present

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Icon present with the title of the set in the widget

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

I’m new to reporting … Idk if it’s a bug or it’s not added to this version.

Icons in titles of widgets were removed.

@karthikeya do you want the bug report to be closed, or do you want to turn it into a feature request?

I want it to be a feature request

Done!

Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

I too want this!!
I saw this thing in the dashboard video and go confused about why are the icons not visible. Please allow them to be shown, what was the reason for it to be removed?

I agree, these (simple?) features drasticly improve Anytype and should return. This allows for self expression as well as improving visuals

Make it a toggle, show object icon under the appearence menu when you right click a widget; show icon - hide icon

I like the icon in the titles quite much tho…

I would love to have the option to turn on/off icons for widgets. If you use widgets heavily, a visual distinction would be very desirable.

Just going to add my vote in there, it is a must in my opinion and is a weird inconsistency as everywhere else an object with an icon for it, the icon is displayed…

The workaround of putting an emoji in the title is awful as everywhere else you would end up with two icons, one for the object and one in the title.
