WHAT IS THE BUG
Selecting some text from the right toward the left loses the selection as soon as you continue to another character or word.
HOW TO REPRODUCE IT
- Go to a area with a lot of text
- Use SHIFT-left arrow to highlight text as you move toward the left. Each character gets selected (highlighted) but as you move to the next letter, the previous one deselects (unhighlights).
- The same behaviour occurs with CTRL-SHIFT-left arrow except a word gets selected and as soon as there is a space, it gets deselected until the next word to the left is selected, and so on.
THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
The text should be continuously selected.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
The problem was reported in the past and marked as resolved but it is occuring in the recent beta 0.53.49.
