I’ve been using Anytype full-time for a 1.5 years.
I recently had to go back to Notion for a side-project that requires features that Anytype doesn’t have yet (basically all have to do with list (sets/collections) management: subtasks, column wrap, and hide list name).
And HOLY SHIT Notion is soooo slow. I saw other users point out how fast Anytype was, but maybe I was taking it for granted because I had been here for so long. But now that I’m using Notion, I’m shocked by how slow it is and amazed at Anytype’s speed! Props to the team for that
Can’t agree more. I still have a few shared Notion spaces, for the same reasons as you, and every time I have to go back to it, it feels like booting a 10 years old laptop with Windows Vista. Like, on Notion, I think twice before clicking on a page.
Yes. I’ve switched recently from Notion (I’ve been using it for at least 3 years) and before switching to Anytype I’ve testes probably 95% of the apps in the industry and Anytype is in top 1-5% regarding the speed. If it would match features that Notion or Coda have they can make earthquakes in the industry.
Unfortunately development seems to be a bit slow, maybe it’s because of the budget thing. I don’t know if there are any open dev positions…
I’m new to Anytype having just left Notion as I was getting fed up with having to launch the task manager to kill Notion processes in an attempt to get it to run with little success.
Touch wood, pleasantly surprised with Anytype’s speed & reliability. Bit of a learning curve but working through it.
