I think custom colors is the way to go because there will always be different preferences when it comes to colors.
For example, I’m ok with the first page of your mockup, but for the second page, I find the lighter colors easier on the eyes. (I guess I’m sensitive to yellow.)

Something that comes naturally to want to make your own notes is always being able to have the freedom to design them how you like, especially with colours. Anytype currently only supports colouring blocks/text with pre-determined colours.

Adding the option to allow custom colours via HEX code or RGB values would be very useful, especially for adding a bit more personality / theming to notes.

I’m not sure how helpful this might be to the average user, but as somebody who’s brand-conscious and loves design, one feature I’d love to see would be an additional relation type for color.
