Inline LaTeX breaks when placed in a checkbox that is then checked

What’s The Bug?

If the user creates a checkbox, then types something in LaTeX, the formatting is removed when the box is checked. The formatting also does not reappear when the box is unchecked, however this can be undoed.

How To Reproduce It

  1. Create a Checkbox item using the command or
  2. Type something in LaTeX, like $\LaTeX$
  3. Check the box.

The Expected Behavior

Checking and unchecking the item should not affect the LaTeX.

Additional Context

Interestingly, this also occurs when a checked item with LaTeX is unchecked.
