Individual Orphan nodes in Graph view are located distantly

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Currently the orphan nodes are scattered across the canvas. It is troublesome to find them from one end to the other.

Describe the solution you’d like

Make These orphan which in isolated location and at different end be placed in a near position side by side.

Maybe there should be an “orphan” relation for nodes without any links to clutter them around it ?

@Inkqb Currently Anytype could identify orphan nodes as orphan. All that is needed was to group them in small with related on title i.e all orphan node with starting letter s groups them with words starting with S. If orphan relation is introduced would makes things unnecessarily complicated

I think this has already been implemented. They have their little corner of the graph and weirdly enough, I find it cute XD

I still find single nodes hanging in the middle of the graph… is this a bug or is it not implemented properly yet? I only find objects that has 1+ link(s) isolated to other objects distantly located in the graph.

But those two are connected?

Those two nodes on the left are indeed connected and they are not orphans. I have no question about them :ok_hand:. But if I remember correctly, they used to clutter somewhere in the middle, and so I thought distanced location had been implemented to them. This is just a reference to scope of implementation.

My concern is about orphan (e.g. single node on the right - indicated by orange dot and the other arrow)…

Oh, my bad. I totally missed the other one. No idea why that one is still there. Can you write a bug report for it?

Bug report has been made.
