I have no votes left, but this is indeed a real need. Make it available for every kind of relations please!
There is already a FR for this:
This FR should be mergeable to the existing one.
Thanks indeed it seems like it is the same and also it seems it is in planning and on the roadmap for this year according to the last message of an Anyteam member there so great news
I have this in the backlog.
I would love a hover to view full name feature for @ mention objects as well.
WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Define a specific feature that is missing or could be improved:
When having large text (in my case it’s the outcome of a given task), would be great to be able to display multi-line to show more content.
Example with Notion vs Anytype
Notion:
Anytype:
HOW COULD IT BE DONE?
ᅟDetail the solution you would like to get what you need:
Could be done by adding a “Wrap column” toggle option on the column. When set to True, we would display entirely the text content by increasing the height of the row as required.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
Describe how this feature would be used, and why it should be implemented. (Demo images are very helpful)
For outcomes / context it’s very convenient as it remove the necessity to open individually each row / task.
RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES
ᅟExplain any workaround or feature you may have considered:
No real alternatives
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
ᅟIf further context, people, or related Feature Requests should be mentioned, do so right here:

I am really waiting for this because I can’t really manage my to do lists well without…
It is basically the last feature I am waiting for to be able to use only Anytype, I am still using Notion for ToDo lists because of this…
My sentiments exactly! As someone trying to move from Notion to AnyType, this is the one feature preventing me from moving fully over.
I’m kind of shocked that this feature doesn’t exist. Description fields are completely useless when I have to open them as a page to see the full text.
I hope this feature will be added in the near future. It would help a lot of people transitioning from excel or notion to anytype. ![]()
Hi, Angelo
Update on this? ![]()
Sorry, there’s still no ETA for this.
Still looking forward for this
Edit 2025-04-23 : Still looking forward to this feature.. Thanks
Any Update on this? I dearly hope this will come soon… would be so useful in every way!
Really missing this feature now as I set up an inline collection for new terminology and definitions, but I can barely see a couple word into the start of each definition before it gets cut off. Would really like a wrap toggle for cases like this!
I’m using an in-line collection precisely because I want each entry I make to get alphabetically sorted, this just isn’t possible with other methods.
Sorry if it’s already posted somewhere, I did try to search!
WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
In the grid view for a query, text is just cut if there isn’t enough space. I would like to be able to get a top-down view of multiple objects in my query in the grid view to interpret the information.
HOW COULD IT BE DONE?
Text overflow options like wrap vs clip, like with google sheets (I’m assuming other spreadsheets have this option).
It could be a simple toggle option for each property, since not all properties need to be fully viewable.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
To track multiple data, like with habits, symptoms, etc. in a top-down view.
Having to open each object to fully read properties that are cut off disrupts this and is very cumbersome. Text wrapping would allow anytype to function pretty well as a tracker, working within its current features.
This is with the anytype window fully expanded on my 24” monitor, and I still couldn’t expand the columns wide enough to fit all the info. they’re not that long either, most <1 sentence, but when each property has a short phrase even, then it’s hard to see all the info.
If we can just get word wrapping, then I would be able to view everything I need so much easier!
(also, I’m new to using a mac and can’t figure out how to easily blur screenshots lol, so open to any suggestions if you have a favourite app!)
Yes! At least for me, this could be a simple solution in some situations to this FR: 'Document' View to show full-size objects in Sets and Collections
It’s in our tracker already and I even started working on it some time ago but unfortunately right now we are a bit busy.
AnyNews ? It’s been 5 years
. Best of luck.
Already implemented, 5 years would be on 4th of September 2026. Best of luck
thanks for implementing! Very nice! ![]()
One small wish: It would be even nicer, if new lines would be rendered correctly. For example if I update a status on my project in description field like this:
it ends up like this, once I leave the text field:
@Razor Could this be changed accordingly? ![]()
