WHAT IS THE BUG
Calendar view freezes, and unable to edit and unable use cmd+w to close the window and cmd+q to quit Anytype at that window

Potential reason: too much data to process and cause overload. I have got the unreasonable 5000+ objects on one day from this bug

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

  • Handle large amount of data better ← sorry, this is probably a really big scope :sweat_smile:
  • Or limit the rendering of the calendar view to handle certain amount of previews of objects (The inclusion of total number of objects for the date is enough for referencing excess amount of objects on calendar view. There is no need to load everything more than 50 or 100 objects ← that’s very generous already for a small box for monthly calendar view) and leave the large scale displays to single date object (when implemented).

Now it is only slower. No more freeze. Thanks team.

This problem is back on v.0.40.0. While it is possible to scroll the object and the calendar view up and down, clicking and exiting app is not possible

Unless you want to recreate the Tower of Babel, I’d be surprised if you had any advantage in having all the languages of the world mixed together on the forum, so that no one could understand each other.

To calm everyone down, the content of the Chinese post above is almost the same as OP. No further information/translation is needed, excep inputting photos was reason of his large amount of files :smiley:
