WHAT IS THE BUG
Blocks are frequently not moveable. It’s possible that this only occurs when they’re nested at different levels of page hierarchy, I’m not 100% sure yet.
HOW TO REPRODUCE IT
- Create an object
- Make a bunch of blocks of text. Create some indented in lists. Create some folding headers, etc.
- Try to move one or several blocks at the same time to areas that are at different levels of the page (different indentation or different headers).
- If selecting one or more and dragging it with the mouse to a new area in the page, they frequently just stay where they were.
- Using the keyboard to move them CTRL-SHIFT Up or Down, likewise does not do anything.
THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Using the keyboard, I expect the block to move sequentially up or down through the immediate level of other blocks or eventually beyond that level to other areas of the page hierarchy. Using the mouse, I expect the blocks to move to wherever I drag them.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
I’ve noticed that in some cases, it seems like in pages that are long with a lot of text, after trying to move a block the cursor and view of the page jumps to an unexpected area, occasionally appearing to move (or maybe remove) other portions of the page. I haven’t been able to fully replicate this because it is pretty confusing what is happening on the page but it is disconcerting about whether or not all of the text remains. It requires closely looking at the history.
It seems like there are some similar reports in the past that were resolved in prior versions of AnyType but I’m not sure if those others are perfectly identical to what I’ve been experiencing.
For example:
- Cannot Move Multiple Blocks if an Object is Selected
- View of page moves after indenting a block
- Moving a newly-created block deletes text
