Is there a more efficient way to manage the custom object types/templates

Not yet, unfortunately. There is a feature request for allowing updated/changed templates to be applied to existing Objects (in bulk).

Option to apply template to an existing object

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I find myself too often making changes to a template. With this change, I would like to apply these template changes to existing objects. I have to do it manually for all my objects. Describe the solution you’d like Would be great to have a feature to apply changes to a template to existing objects. This option could be optional - depends on the end user if he/she wants to apply changes to the template to existing objects.

In Anytype there is currently no way to reflect a two-way relation directly in sets expect for having a normal-relation and then looking into the navigation dialog of an object to find out which relation is linking to this object of the same type. Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. While I’m aware of and use the @ symbol to link to pages/objects, it is more often a convention used for “mentioning” people. Some apps, like Notion or ClickUp, do use @ for all kinds of linking, but more broadly it is definitely associated with “people”. And an increasing number of tools are making heavy use of [[ double bracket linking, both in the actual writing process (invoke search-to-link inline), as well as in export/import …

You probably guessed by now that there are no built in solutions apart from doing this manually for now.
