thanks, electron is a UI framework, if I don’t upgrade to latest version, Is there a sync error happen?
Can we still have a special plan please? I would be so happy to upgrade my space. If you could still do that it would be great!
How do you find the “last opened objects” widgets on Anytype 0.50.5?
And other pre-existing widgets which were really convinient.
I can’t find them now from the side bar?
Thank you ![]()
@Henri
It has been removed. But since it’s just a pinned query for a certain object type (type “page” for example), filtered by “Last opened date”, it’s easy to recreate.
Thanks for your answer.
I had came to the same conclusion.
Too bad, is used to like this feature.
Habits…
@Henri
Well, what is the issue then? Simply create a query, pin it, and you will have what you need.
From my perspective, this has nothing to do with habit. Every day is a new day.
Yes, depending on the version used, synchronization may stop working. We always recommend staying up to date if possible.
Thank you very much for these bold updates! Excited to see what the future holds for Anytype.
I know that you are reworking the navbar, so I won’t make a FR for that, but I often have to hide it and confuse those two icons a lot:
![]()
I though that I would adapt to this change but I still find myself mixing those two.
In regards to what people suggested. i was apprehensive to upgrade my server side, so i decided to run a separate docker container set up with the same set up i was running
consensus node:2.3
coordinator: 5.1
file node 8.12
sync node: 7.6
mongo: 4.4.29 (i lack the AXV support)
After that was set up and i confirmed it worked as is, i ended up going in and make upgrading to:
consensus node:4.1
coordinator: 7.3
file node 9.2
sync node: 9.3
mongo: 4.4.29 (i still lack the AXV support)
and could confirm that upgrading my client did not connect to it, continuing on 49.2 also did not connect to the upgraded server. i ended up shutting down the container after repeatedly trying to restart various client, i attempted to connect on window and MacOS, i am not sure what is causing it but something about the jump to .50 did not allow me to connect to an upgraded self host instance. If its mongo, then there is nothing i can do, If it is not mongodb then it is beyond me of what else to check.
I missed that point too. It should have been bolded lol. I’m just wondering why they needed to remove the Space Selector in this release to everyone when it’s being overhauled in a future release.
Let’s move this to a bug report, if not already. Even though the desktop says it’s connected to my local server, it’s still stuck forever “syncing” and my mobile app only seems to sync via p2p.
Edit: this bug report seems to capture my experience, and indicates a root-cause and fix has already been identified.
Sync icon never stops pulsating and the status always stays at “syncing” after a fresh login
I’m in a similar position of needing to switch between spaces frequently, so I thought I’d share my current setup.
After using the Arc browser for so long, I’ve gotten used to cmd+S for toggling the browser tabs sidebar. Now, I have the keyboard shortcut cmd+S set for the widget panel, and cmd+shift+S for toggling the spaces sidebar. It works well enough for now ![]()
Just FYI, in case you don’t know:
There is now a keyboard shortcut key Control + 1/2/... to quickly switch spaces. You can check it on the keyboard settings (Control + Space), and maybe reassign it too.
Could you try testing it in the latest pre-release version? If I remember correctly, this should be fixed already.
I’m on 0.50.52-beta and this still happens. Is this different than alpha? I haven’t been trying those out. I could do that, although I don’t know how to get access (my alpha group label is from participating before the beta release
)
Hello, I am on ver 0.50.5.
While it’s true that I can now drag & drop to customize the order of options in a “Select” property; it seems that in a Query, when I sort by that specific “Select" property, it still resorts to an alphabetical order.
For example, I have a Price Range “Select” property with these options (that I have arranged in this order): Expensive, Medium, & Cheap. When I sort objects in a Query by “Price Range” and choose “ascending”, it instead sort the objects in this order: Cheap, Expensive, and then Medium. Which is still alphabetical. Is this a bug? Or is sorting by custom sequence not yet implemented?
Thanks in advance!
For me, some multi-select properities can still not even be sorted correctly manually. Each drag&drop of an option results in a weird remixing of all other options. This seems to be a problem that occurs only on my older spaces (not newly created ones). I even created new properties to replace the old damaged ones (a lot of work and wasted time), but the problem reappeared after a while.
I really hope that this bug gets fixed soon because this is my main tagging system.
A reset button for alphabetical sorting would be very helpful, as this is actually needed much more often than a custom sorting order. I don’t quite understand why a special feature is being introduced and a standard feature eliminated.
In general, I think sorting and searching deserve more love from the development team. All related bugs should be fixed before introducing new features, as sorting and searching are essential for daily work. I can gladly do without chat and comments if I can search and sort reliably.
Just updated to 0.50.65-beta and it looks like this has been fixed!
