Anytype Desktop 0.44.0 Released!

Unfortunately the list of last opened objects in Search (Ctrl+S) menu is still broken! I guess I’m up for a couple more weeks of constant mouse clicking when navigating between my objects.

Mery Christmas.

I have a very strong feeling that there was recently a temporary fix released. I think right now, anyType uses the locale settings of your OS - which at least by default ought to be that way. I think this will satisfy most people. What you are talking about then would be an override of your OS locale setting. I think too few people would need that

Yes, picking up OS locale settings would be sufficient for me as well.

Can you please point me to any discussion or documentation where the release of this temporary fix is mentioned?

I’m currently on 0.44.0, which I suppose is the latest and this version still shows Monday as first day of week-- even though my OS locale is set to Sunday first.

Thank you for your response. Merry Christmas.

I can’t point you to any discussion about this. I am simply telling you what I am observing in anyType running on my linux machine. I could be mistaken; I made an educated guess

I’m on Linux too, Debian 12 to be specific, running the .deb package.
Sorry to bother you but I just wanted to double check-- have your Anytype installation ever displayed any other day except ‘Monday’ as the first day of week with or without you changing your OS locale?

Thank you.

You are not bothering me at all!
I am running Pop OS! Which is based on Ubuntu, which is based on debian…

I made some assumptions in my previous post.
I went and in settings I changed the locale to USA, which if I recollect, has sunday as first day of the week.
I relaunched anyType and went into a sample space and put a sample set in calendar view and indeed it stayed as monday first day of the week.

My assumption was wrong.

By the way, my typical space that has content…refused to show almost any content while I switched locale. So the data is locale bound. When I reverted the local and relaunched anyType, my data came back.
So heads up on switching locale!

Sorry for the wrong information…

Cheers
