Ability to batch delete relations from multiple objects

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Now is not possible to delete a relation from several objects at the same time. If you want to delete a relation, you need to enter in every object, press the relation button, and then delete it.

Describe the solution you’d like

Be able to delete a relation from several objects at the same time. One way of doing this could be when you delete a relation from a set, instead of just hidding it, the relation will be deleted from all the objects inside that set.

Update: Duplicate of #2294

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

When in “bulk-edit” mode, you can remove Relations from a set, but not from the underlying objects.

I would like to be able to batch-remove relations from objects. (not from being displayed somewhere, but from the actual object).

Since this was oftentimes an issue: I did look for alternative requests, and did not find any which fulfil this use case. This is not “batch-edit” (which I found multiple times), this is “batch-remove-rel.-from-objects”.

Please don’t close it, because it simply is not possible now (I think, I would be thankful for hints in case I’m wrong).

HOW COULD IT BE DONE?

  • first, display all relations of an object
  • then, also offer the “unlink from objects” action (vs. “unlink from set”)

REAL WORLD USE CASES

Relation editing – sometimes you just want to change / reorganize them, and you don’t want to keep each and every relation you ever created.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

None.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

See screenshots.

If it’s batch-remove-rel.-from-objects, then it should be related to this feature request, right?

Is “Rating” relation diplayed in your set or collection?
I think only those displayed can be edited using the batch function.

That is the perfect duplicate I’d say … I actually did wonder while writing this whether Murphy would f… me here  . Yet – as said: I looked, how I could miss this though – no idea.

Marking as such.

I now think the screenshots are wrong and were intended for sth. else. But: Great hint, thanks for that! (I should not write feature requests too late at night :grimacing:).
