What is the sidebar Objects widget supposed to mean now?

What do you need help with?

I’m confused about that new sidebar, seems like there’s no consistency for the “Objects” widget.
On some of my spaces they show like 10 items, some others 6, some others even 2.
Some of them show types that I created, some show the default stock ones, some show a mix.

I find this confusing too. It was decided to only display object types in the “Objects” section for which objects have already been created.
Presumably because it should look tidier at the beginning.
A new space starts with only one entry - Pages - because at this point there is only one object of the type “Page.”

I would always display all existing object types in this section, because especially at the beginning (onboarding), I think it’s important to get an overview of the available system object types, and later, in the course of use and after creating your own object types, the list will be as long as it needs to be anyway.

Incidentally, I would display system object types separately from others (deletable and custom types) in this list, as in the Space/Channel settings under “Object Types”.

@VisualNotes Thanks for the feedback. I’ll share it with the team.
