Unexpected power loss prevents Anytype from starting up (crash log included)

WHAT IS THE BUG
Anytype crashes on startup. The only thing I can do is to uninstall and then reinstall Anytype as the crash prevented me from doing anything.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT
My Windows 11 PC shutdown unexpectedly, so Anytype could not properly be closed. I assume this is the reason for the startup crash, as I’ve never experienced one before.

  1. Provoke a sudden power failure of the pc from the electrical grid, causing a total shutdown of the power supply.
  2. Reconnect the electrical current
  3. Restart the computer
  4. Try to launch Anytype
  5. It crash everytime

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
I expect Anytype to cope with this kind of unexpected event, especially as I hadn’t been using it for several hours, so no ongoing synchronization problem could explain this crash.
In the worst case, we should at least be able to reconnect to our account, which is not the case here. We are forced to uninstall and reinstall the application. This is not right.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

  1. Anytype was open, but I was not using it for several hours, so no ongoing synchronization problem could explain this crash.
  2. Here is the crash log:

I have the same problem, I can’t run anytype. Most likely, too, after an unexpected power off of the computer.
Here is the log:

I also have Windows 11 and the latest version of anytype as of today

@Humain @Senya

Anytype team is aware of that issue, a temporary (until it’s fixed in the upcoming release) workaround to get your app working again is to reinstall.

This report has been added to our issue tracker and received by the Development Team.

For me the situation got worse!

Using AnyType in Local-Mode
My Windwos machine crashed

After that Anytype did not start → I already knew this annoying problem → Therefor re-installed

Trying to log-in in local-only mode does not work
Accomplishing a internet-connection is not feasible in my special case

Any help?

Hey, can you please write a separate bug report for his issue?

I already opened up a GitHub issue providing logs

OK?

This fix for this issue will be implemented in the next-release. For anyone experiencing the problem in the meantime, please see these instructions:
