Tab layout persistence between sessions of AT

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Make it so each tab retains its own layout options from the previous session after restarting AT.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

I use the sidebar for navigation, which naturally changes the content of the current tab unless one right-clicks and opens new tabs when navigating. Changing the content is fine for some tabs, but I have several tabs I like to keep open perpetually, and if I accidentally navigate away from one or more them and then notice later, I have to reset it/them. An easy way to prevent this is by hiding the sidebar on those tabs, but unfortunately this doesn’t persist. When I restart AT, the state of the last viewed tab is the only one that carries over. Each subsequent tab I switch to picks up the layout of the previous one I had been viewing.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

If I’m mindful, I can set the layout of each tab manually at the beginning of the session. In the grand scheme, this is a small task, but it would be great if I didn’t even have to think about it.

Yes, it’s a pet-peeve of my own as well. We have this in our tracker (because I wrote it myself), but it’s just lower on priority as you can likely imagine.

I set shortcuts for the sidebars and just set them up quickly as I need. However, to be fair, I rarely restart Anytype or my desktop.

Nice to hear it’s on the radar, thank you. And yeah, I figured it wouldn’t exactly be a top priority. I was wondering as I was writing it if there’s such a thing as a too-frivolous feature request. If there is, it sounds like I haven’t written it yet!
