WHAT IS THE BUG

Switching tab with keyboard shortcut doesn’t show current tab to be active on tab pane.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Open a few tabs
  2. Use default keyboard shortcut to switch between previous or next tabs Cmd+Opt+Left/Right arrow (Make sure you haven’t changed the shortcut because reassigning doesn’t work - a separate bug)
  3. See the active object being switched. :white_check_mark:
  4. Look at tab pane, active tab is still displayed as the original tab being active. :lady_beetle:
  5. Click on the last tab, then close tab using Cmd+W. Tab is closed, but active white colour (or darker black) is shown on the plus button.

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Current tab is displayed as active.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

btw closing window/Cmd+W is not a keyboard shown in shortcut pane, and neither does it cause conflict if another shortcut is being assigned as using Cmd+W.

Thank you for reporting this!! I just noticed it yesterday. Love finding an issue and discovering there’s already a bug report for it

I’m surprised this wasnt fixed in the 0.54.5 release. seems like a minor yet critical fix.

also i really think that the default shortcute for switching tabs should be Ctrl + Tab and Ctrl + Shift + Tab.

I noticed that internally it looks like it was fixed according to our tickets (many days ago) but the problem still persists. I will re-trigger this issue and get it fixed. Apologies!

Hey, this fix wasn’t included in version 0.54.5. It was a minor update that addressed a specific security issue.

WHAT IS THE BUG

When using more than one tab and switching between them with a shortcut, the visual mark of which tab is selected does not switch with switching the tab. It stays with one tab, regardless of which tab you are using right now.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  • open more than one tab
  • switch between them with a shortcut (with the mouse its working).

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Same as when using the courser
