Switching from page to object doesn't display relations

WHAT IS THE BUG

I’ve imported markdown files to anytype. Then I wanted to convert recipes pages to recipes object.
So I click on change type → recipes
Nothing changes on the page, no relations can be selected.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Create a page
  2. Change type to recipes

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

I should be able to edit relations like time, difficulty …

We don’t apply a template to non empty object

Relations are part of the template ?

You’ve added “Test” text to the canvas. If you change the type after that, templates won’t be applied.

Would it be a bad idea to apply the template and push the current content under the template ?
So I can easily copy/paste my stuff in the correct section ?

What exactly do you mean? Are you referring to something that is already implemented or are you asking if it would be a good idea if the devs implemented that?

Maybe, but I doubt that it will happen before Option to apply template to an existing object.
