SVG space profile image not viewable on Windows

What’s The Bug?

SVG space profile images show as a broken image in Windows

How To Reproduce It

  1. On Mac, view your space profile
  2. Click the image to open the Upload modal
  3. Drag an SVG onto the modal (looks great on Mac!)
  4. View the space on Windows

Image or Video

The Expected Behavior

I’d expect the profile image to be seen.

Additional Context

~~Might be the same bug: Shared space : broken image - #22 by lacno29 ~~

In researching this problem I noticed two things that makes me think that allowing SVGs at all was not intended:

  1. If I click “upload” instead of dragging the SVG, SVG files are grayed out.
  2. Oh.

Not a good idea, SVG does not work on mobile out of the box. This is why they are greyed out.

Then the expected behavior would be to forbid SVG upload, do you agree?

(I put a client’s logo as a space’s profile image, and then invited him to the space.   )
