What’s The Bug?
Unlike English, Korean uses tildes(~) to represent ranges of numbers instead of an en dash(–). For example:
스팸에 40~50%, 계란에 20~30% 지출했다.
I spent 40-50% on spam and 20-30% on eggs.
But when I paste text containing tildes, the text is not preserved as Korean users expect.
How To Reproduce It
-
Paste the following text into the editor:
스팸에 40~50%, 계란에 20~30% 지출했다. -
The text between tildes are struck through, and the tildes vanish.
Image or Video
The Expected Behavior
The original text must be preserved without strikethrough. See the screenshot.
Additional Information
Korean really loves tildes. It is generally not a good idea to use tilde as a formatting marker.
