What do you recommend?
Since the introduction of Object Discussions in 0.55.0, comments are placed at the very bottom of an object. There’s currently no indicator near the top of the object that discussions even exist.
A small comment summary line near the object title or description area would go a long way — something like:
3 comments · last by Anna, 5 min ago
Clicking it would jump directly to the discussions section at the bottom.
Why this matters
I introduced a collaborator to Anytype and told them I had left a comment on a shared object. They spent several minutes looking and never found it — the idea of scrolling all the way to the bottom simply didn’t occur to them. That’s a discoverability problem.
The proposed indicator would solve three things at once:
-
Awareness — users know that comments exist
-
Context — they can see at a glance how many and how recent
-
Navigation — one click to get there
This pattern is already common in tools like Notion, Linear, and GitHub, where comment counts are surfaced prominently at the top level of a document or issue.
