Setting cover image from library sends file to bin

WHAT IS THE BUG

When choosing the cover photo for an object from Library, once the image is added, it goes straight into the bin.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

Outline the steps needed to reproduce the behavior in sequence:

  1. Place an image on a Page

  2. Click ‘Add Cover’

  3. Choose the image added to the page from Library

  4. Open the embedded image in the page as an object

  5. See Object is in the bin and shown in view mode

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Images should not be sent to the bin if they’ve been set as a cover.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

This presents quite an issue if you empty your bin regularly. You assume you’re deleting items you’ve sent to the bin, but you’re actually deleting cover images - some of which may be your only copy.

I made a note to the dev who’s responsible for this. Might be related to a separate issue. Thanks for surfacing.

Great. Thanks, Kaye

Also now noticed (related to this bug)

When you create a new object from within another object, then drag an existing image onto its card, when opening it, the block shows as being in the bin.
