WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

It would be helpful if the undo and redo options in the menu bar showed what would be undone or redone and were disabled when there is nothing to undo or redo. It also could be helpful to have a history of edits similar to apps like Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE?

  • Disable the undo and redo buttons when there is nothing to be undone or redone
  • Show what action will be undone or redone as part of the menu item text
  • Add a history menu similar to apps like Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve

REAL WORLD USE CASES

Undoing multiple actions at once by clicking to a specific point in the history instead of having to repeatedly press the undo button

Creative apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, etc.

Have you tried version history which you find at the three-dot menu at the top right corner of UI?

It would be nice to have something that can undo recent changes even if they happened across multiple objects.

I’ve changed your FR to Per-space version history, as this name makes more sense if you are looking for something like this. Is that OK with you?
