This might’ve been answered already in Anytype docs or the community but I’m having trouble finding info on it.
Is there a way to set a passcode on the app? I have the app downloaded to my phone and while I know Anytype is quite secure, if someone were to pick up my phone and hack into it, they’d be able to access everything on Anytype as is. I’d love to set a password or passcode just for the app if possible.
To my knowledge, if someone were to pick up your phone and hack into it, there is currently not enough security to prevent the data breach.
I wish there is too, but it’s quite complicated to do, so it’s clearly not a priority anyway.
iOS gives you the ability to lock each app on an individual basis. Android is obviously a different story. However, if an attacker has complete access to your phone (and has bypassed the strongest security measures), you’re going to have big problems besides just your Anytype app. In general, Anytype relies on the security of the local device it is on—it’s best to focus on securing this level rather than an app level.
The pin code we have is for desktop, however that isn’t another form of encryption. It’s explained in the docs: Vault Settings | Anytype Docs
