Thanks, @ferdzso and everyone, for the discussion! You’ve touched on a long-time pain point for those of us who’d prefer not to have an entire orphanage of lost objects wandering aimlessly around our graphs 
The second workaround described here, and the upcoming “add to collection” function mentioned by @Filip, should partially ease your woes: Creating Child Objects / Pseudo-Hierarchy in Anytype
For the rest, such as Automatic Bi-Directional Linking & Rollups, we’re still playing the waiting game until our devs have more bandwidth.
