Yes, we’ve recognised this challenge already and have worked on it, however it is part of the Editor 2.0 package. Essentially, the content inside the object needs to be referenceable (in this case, a gallery card).
In short, the editor was built many many years ago (oldest part of Anytype) and many of the architecture decisions back in the day led to limitations today.
There are a lot of features that have been requested by the community. The one that you’ve put forth is essentially ‘content previews’ where content inside the object can be referenced outside of it (like in a gallery card). There are also requests like synced blocks (transclusions), block links, among other things.
All of these features are not possible today because they require new fundamental architecture of the editor, so it’s not just a bug fix/improvement that we can put on top of the current editor. Because of that, once we launch the new editor, it will package together a bunch of new features and fixes (plus solve a lot of other issues). This is one of the major projects going on at the moment.
