This looks something like Obsidian Stranger New World (SNW) plugin which has 25,000+ use. It counts links, not child though.
There are values to implement similar counting system, even if child/parent hierarchy (e.g. Object/attribute collection - use hierarchies and semantic versioning) is not in function.
I like this idea a lot. I downloaded SNW upon its launch. But as a person who is not sensitive to numbers, I couldn’t incorporate it into my workflow. If Anytype has this function, could it be realised with some interpretations of numbers or as sub-relation?
- So the number makes sense. For example, the number means number of books an author written instead of all random objects I connected, including journal or quote (which I probably also want to know but as a separate number).
SNW team has use lazy networking to prevent leveraging obsidian… so Performance needs to be considered, especially we also need decryption in Anytype.
