Membership activation fails — "failed to get a paymentnode peer: IncompatibleVersion"

Hi, first of all, thanks for the great product and the nice community approach. I just bought an Anytype Membership. today, but i fail to activate my membership in anytype.

  1. Summary: Membership activation fails — payment node peer rejected with IncompatibleVersion; app shows “Looks like there is connection issues…” on the membership screen.
  2. Environment:
    • App: Anytype 0.56.5 (mac-arm64) — confirmed latest via update feed
    • macOS 26.5 (25F71), Apple Silicon (arm64)
    • Default network mode (not self-hosted)
  3. What I tried (no effect):
    • anytype://main/membership deep link (browser, bash open, and global search) + app restart
    • Closed Tailscale, no VPN/proxy/firewall — all Anytype nodes (coordinators, consensus, file/data nodes, stripe.pay.anytype.io, payments.network) are reachable from my machine
  4. Key log evidence (this is the important part for them):
    • Error: any-pp.drpcclient: failed to get a paymentnode peer — IncompatibleVersion
    • Repeats every minute; first occurrence 2026-08-18T14:47:16+0200
    • Also: common.subscribeclient: streamWatcher: subscribe watch error — unable to connect

Any idea why this is happening. Happy to provide more logs if helpful.
