Keyboard shortcuts for Coloring ( or any menu item )

Better Shortcut System via office like ALT + keystroke combo

to change font color to red , one would input
ALT + C + F + R

to change background color to blue
ALT + C + B + B

if there are 2 colors with b like black , one would press multiple times b until the color is selected and then press ENTER

basically zou can make the Editor Menu pop up via ALT , and Letters would navigate the menu , thus ALT + C , selects coloring , F selectes font , and R selects Red , you could apply this system to the whole menu , but must necessary it is for Coloring FONT , because right now it is a pain in the ass doing it via clicking , sry for the vent great app , but please make it , its easy enough , like 1 hour of coding , heck i could do it for you

OFC the old shortcuts stay active , just adding a keyboard navigation to the menu i would suggest

Hello,

Currently it is possible to have a shortcut to trigger the font color or highlight color menus.

I would like to suggest to go one step further:

  • When the menu is displayed, also display a hotkey that can be pressed for each colors.
  • So the user can directly type the desired color number.
  • This would make it way faster to set color.

So:

  • 0 Gray
  • 1 Yellow
  • 2 Amber
  • 3 Red
  • 4 Pink
  • 5 Purple
  • 6 Blue
  • 7 Sky
  • 8 Teal
  • 9 Green
  • Maybe letters…

Also, typing the same number as the current selection should simply go back to “Default”.

  • So if the selected text already has font color or highlight for “Red” for the full selection, then “Red” should be changed to “Default”.
  • This is a toggle mechanism.

Kind regards.

I agree with you.

We already have shortcut for displaying the colour menu. We should just add a hotkey with both numbers and colour letters. Also switching to default using same letter is a great idea.
