as a beginner on anytype I’m a bit confused not having at least a readonly view of kanban or degraded version of it. I started to create a view on desktop with kanban style and update everything nicely. But while I was browsing the status of this kanban I discover this missing feature. If I switch back to grid view there it applies too on desktop and breaks the workflow.
I understand a kanban view could take time to implement in a mobile way. Wouldn’t it be possible to switch mode to grid view on mobile with a corresponding mapping without affecting desktop view until a mobile kanban view is developped?
I am truly baffled that kanban isn’t on mobile considering how popular kanban views are. It’s one of the reasons why I can’t fully use Anytype. I love using kanban views and Anytype’s version is so beautiful. I can’t imagine it’s THIS technically hard to do.
AI and Machine Learning is on the roadmap but Mobile Parity is apparently not as big of a priority as bloat and techbro hype. This does not give me confidence in the future of this app.
In my personal case, I would keep a detailed record of the insurance plans for my family of 6 people and 2 dogs, and present the renewals in Kanban mode.
So in some cases I would like to be able to use my mobile phone to visually identify which insurance policies are about to expire and which ones I plan to replace, rather than clicking on them one by one in a list.
Hi.
Just wanted to start discussion over kanban view for mobile devices, esspecialy tablets.
Do you Guys plan to make it happen in near future? I’m not gonna lie it’s one of my top points on my Anytype Wishlist.
Also I can write in typescrip, react, etc. so maybe I can help you a little? Don’t have a lot of spare time, but I’d like to help in feature that I’d be using on a daily basis ![]()
btw. I see that on desktop app I can just hit cmd + - to zoom out, how to do that on iPad?
We use Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS, so there’s probably not much you could help with.
Anyway, is there any plan for near future to implement that? From my point of view it’s enought to start just from simple columns and drag and drop. Just to be able to mange the tasks. Rest things like rendering relations into cards, displaying covers etc. couldn’t exist for now.
Btw. how to join alfa / beta team, to have lates things?
We’ve been discussing it recently, but we don’t have an ETA for any of it yet.
Alpha versions can be downloaded from GitHub, while pre-release versions can simply be toggled in the app (Menu Bar > Version > Pre-Release).
Time for my 3 monthly check to see if the one of the most basic of features for a PKMS app has been implemented ![]()
No hard feelings, i do like anytype, I just feel like it’s has a large number of votes for a while, is there any plan at all to get to this?
Would love to use kanban but it’s still desktop only. So it’s unusable for me due no mobile support still. Hope it gets implemented soon…
Hello hello, wanted to add my voice to this chat. Please add kanban and calendar views to mobile! Very useful for my use of the software.
Thanks sm.
Hi!
Why is this feature tagged as blocked? This is highly requested by the community and I can see it is mentioned that the team discussed possible implementation a little under a year ago, but nothing has been done and no information on status has been provided. Are there technical challenges involved or are you simply downprioritizing it?
Please! Before AI, give us Mobile Kanban ![]()

New here. Created my account just to vote for this feature.
Wondering if the devs totally forgot about this.
My wish for Xmas 2025 is Kanban view on Android ![]()
With every update that comes out I open the app up and immediately check and see if Board View is available…nope.
I mean…is it so insanely tough to do that they are just moving on? I can’t imagine it would take more than a week to implement. I honestly don’t know, maybe it’s hard. It’s such a highly used feature in Notion and other apps. I mean, heck, Apple Reminders has a Board View!
I’m with @Exodes, all I want for Christmas is Board View on mobile!
Update: We are currently focusing on refactoring, and then we will focus on this feature. The ETA is the end of March.
Hi Filip, any status update on this feature?
