WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
We have “Invite members” in the space widget in the latest version.
Not matters if we don’t want to use it.
No matters if it’s not a shared space and that it’s not planned.
In many cases, this will be an element that will unnecessarily weigh down the interface and further overload the widget section, which is rarely “too empty”!
I don’t like “All objects” either because I don’t use it (I have my own version if I need it), but let’s say it can be useful.
Searching is always useful, agree.
The invite link… is it to encourage sharing and allow you to sell more subscriptions?
HOW COULD IT BE DONE?
- Make configurable optional (ideally, be able to enable/disable the “All objects” and “Invite members” items in the space widget)
- Make it conditionnal : visible only if a space is shard
if a space is shared, then yes, the link can be useful.
If a space is not shared, there is no need for invitations, and forcing them is harmful.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
Personnal space, private space, etc
In my usercase : 12 spaces, only 3 shared (and 5 spaces which should never be shared)
RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES
CSS but this hides your links in all cases.
