What do you need help with?
I’m setting up my workspace for project and task management, and I have the following structure:
Task Type: Has a “Related Project” Object property linking to the Project Type.
Project Type: Has a “Related Client” Object property linking to the Client Type.
I have created a “Query” (formerly Set) based on my “Task” Type to serve as my main “Task Dashboard”. I want to display the name of the “Client” that each task’s related “Project” is for, directly as a column in this "Task "Query’s table view.
I can easily display the “Related Project” column (showing the Project name), but I am unable to find an option to add a column that displays the “Related Client” property of the object linked in the “Related Project” column. In other database tools, this is sometimes called a “lookup” or “rollup” column feature.
Could someone please clarify if it is currently possible in Anytype to:
- Add a column to a Query table view that displays a property (like “Related Client”) of an object linked via an Object property (like “Related Project”)?
- If yes, could you please explain the steps to do this in the desktop app?
- If not yet possible, is this a planned feature, and are there any recommended workarounds within Anytype to achieve a similar result (e.g., seeing the Client name alongside each task in the Task Dashboard)?
Any guidance or confirmation on this feature’s availability would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
