How to create page buttons?

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND

As it is right now when you link to an object it is only the text that acts as a link. I’m recommending a customizable button that you can drop into the page just to stand out a little bit more where instead of only the text being clickable the whole button is.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE

*ᅟMake it so we can add things like buttons to pages.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

I like to make some navigation pages or personalize a little more. In additions I could see buttons being useful for other things in the future if you can define more what the button can do.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

Right now I use call outs on links for formatting to make them stand out a bit more so I guess if a link is formatted as a callout that the entire callout be made clickable.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

I know I can navigate as well through the sidebar but I use both sometimes.

Seems like you are describing cards which are already available?

Oh wow, I had no idea this existed even. I had to look up where it was to do it lol.

For anyone else who comes across this in the future potentially.

How to make a link into a card.

  1. Create a link to an object.
  2. Edit that link from the hamburger button to the left.
    a. Preview
    b. Preview Layout
    c. Card

Thanks @Filip I really didn’t know about this I have to make some changes to my things now.

Important detail - link should be crated with /link, it is impossible to convert existing link made with @ to a card

I would also add if you are doing this to make some sort of navigation page that you use frequently, save yourself the trouble and lock the page when you aren’t doing edits to it so you don’t accidently move or remove something. Top right … button and lock page or just press CTRL + SHIFT + L
