Thanks again team for release of v.0.37. What do you all think about hosting? What do you think of the hosting function along with other features, e.g. multi space?
Trying them out, this is what I think about and vision for multi-spaces & hosting.
- Private objects, like journal or clients’ info, go to private spaces where no other people can access it. These will be best served by local-only.
- Database or input objects, like a public library, are out there in the world already. Whatever network will do
- Publish to web is better off with self-host or through Anytype server; devices might not be powered or online at all times…
I am not sure if it is possible to separate network setting with spaces, especially multiple spaces can run at the same time. Since hosting setting is located before login, I wonder if it would prevent some possible configurations…
Alternatively, if we can use everything on local-only and then allow (realtime) back-up for non-private spaces through self-host/Anytype server, that would also be great.
