WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
- I believe Notion has a feature where objects within a space can have their own privacy settings independent from the rest. This would be useful for multiple projects in the same space where not everything needs to be seen by everyone
HOW COULD IT BE DONE?
- Object settings: permissions: viewable, editable, etc.
- Any sub objects would inherit parent objects permissions, and any link to the object from outside could either show a lock symbol with the title of the object and nothing more, or even block the title of the object entirely
REAL WORLD USE CASES
- The ability to make comments note to self on an object without broadcasting to everyone in the space.
- Keep certain projects privy to certain members of the space, if desired
- allow moderators to/admins to have an overview space of the rest of a community space
RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES
- ability to link between spaces would help alleviate this some, such as ability to link from one project to another related one in another space, but without granular permissions making private comments on specific objects is still a pain (if you write a lot of private notes, you know what I mean)
